Seize The Day

One morning I woke up hardly. Its in winter season when I suddenly remembered something again, yeah something that’s important to me. It was about 2 years ago when I met her, the one who changed everything in my life. Her name was Sakura. I met her on our senior high school. She was a perfect girl for me. You can tell im falling in love with her at the first sight. She was in a swimming club when I met her accidently in the road to home. At that time I forgot my bag and back to the classroom.  When I was in the way to there, I met her in the gate of the pool. She gave a smile to me. At that time  my heart was beating so fast. In the next tomorrow I asked her friend what is her phone number and where she lived. After that I get her phone number and her addres, I try to send her a email. I really excited. She reply my email. About 1 week I routine email her each other. From that I knew she was a swimmer in our school and she have already wins many achievement. Her parents was working aboard in America, so she lived alone in her house. Not long after that a very bad incident happened. My mother was hit by a car and die. I was really sad at that time because my mother and I was not in a good mother and children relationship. We still had a many fight everyday, she still advice me every day and now? At the funeral Sakura and her parents come. I was so confused. Why she came with her parents? Sakura with sad face come near to me and spoke gentlely” be strong okay?” It was a little happiness for me for she was so care about me. Then her parents talked to me and said “im so sorry for everything happened,  we will take a full responsibilities to make up our mistake.” Huh full responsibilities? Our mistake? I was so confused, then slowly my head realized what happened. The car who hit my mother and make she died, it was Sakura parents car. That time they drive home after ate at restaurant and Sakura father was drinking to much beer and he was drunk, so he hit my mother when she was going to cross the road. With full of anger, I shouted” don’t come here you pathetic killer. I want my mother back. Gived me my mother back” sakura tried to hold my hand when I was shouted to her” don’t touch my hand your killer’s children” she pull off her hand from me and began to crying, then they go. The next day all of my friend give me a good support by cheering me up. When I got home from school, I saw Sakura standing near the gate, waited for someone. I don’t care about her anymore, I said to myself. Then when we are bumped, she began to hold my bag and said”wait, can we talk?” she asked me politely. “No” I said in anger. “ there is no point we talked anymore. Leave me alone.” Then she said haltingly as she cried” are we still a friend?”. “ a friends never hurt her/him friend and make her/him sad” I said then I began to walk. 1 week later I heard a news. Sakura was moving to another town. And I recived a letter from her from her friend. I was forced to read it. “Im so sorry for happened to your mother, I know you are so sad and mad to me. I deserved to be hated by you. But please remember this. I will always thing you are my friend. Maybe we were not friends for too long, but I thing you are my best friend, and I love you. I love you with all of my heart.” After read that, I realised something, that I really fell in love with her, but its over now. Sakura don’t deserved this. She is not the one who hit my mother. And now I remained alone and fell so sorry to her.

He drink slowly his drink dan looked outside of the window. Rain start again. His forehead wringkled. Of course there is something lost. He really knew that there is something missing. He just cant figured how what he really missing and what is something that he missing is important or not. He took a long breath. Maybe something that not important. He turn around near the window and look around the room and at that moment his image of the past come.
Edward: I love you. Would you like to be my girlfriend?

Rihanna: what?

Edward: yeah, from the first time I look at you, there are some feeling that makes me crazy. I think this is love

Rihanna: love?

Edward: yup, so would you like to be my girlfriend?

Rihanna: honestly, I think I feel same feeling like you. (smiling)

Edward: oh great (hold rihanna hand and laugh)

Yeah that’s the moment that came back into my head. It like empty feeling but so funny. Only one girl that make me like this. Yeah, that’s rihanna. A girl who has exotic skin, long black hair and sweetest smile that I ever seen before. I met her when I am in senior high school and from that moment, I falling in love with her. Its like love at the first sigh. But the reality is not as sweet as the dream. Im the type who care so much with my best friend even it is the boy or girl. And this is the beginning of the everything. I have a best friend named Britney. She is a girl. She is beautiful and a perfrct girl, but she had a hard disease. She had asthma and it made her cant work to hard or tired. I look at her like she is my sister, so I take care of her. But my cauntion is less when I’ve relationship with rihanna. And it made brithney unhappy.

Edward: hey Britney long time no see you. How are you?

Britney: hey ed, long time no see you too (with sad face)

Edward: why you looked so sad?

Britney: what is your opinion? Don’t you know what thing that made me sad?

Edward: umm, I don’t know exactly because we never see each other for a long time.

Britney: yeah that’s my problem.

Edward: excuse me? I cannot take the point from your sentences.

Britney: you want to know my problem?

Edward: hahaha, of course brit. What?

Britney: I don’t care who is your girlfriend, but don’t forget if you have other beside your girlfriend

Edward: hah? Are you jealous? Haha

Britney: jealous? No, I am not jealous but you never care of us again. You just care about your girlfriend. Iam so piss off.

Edward: im so sorry brit, I don’t know it. I think if you all fine. I promise to care about you again. I’ll make balance between friend and girlfriend, so all of this problem never came up again. Time passes very quickly, until that night, the night that im planed to celebrated our 1 year anniversary. But everything change when I got a call from Britney.

Britney: hello, Edward please come here. I need you please. Its emergency.

Edward: yes, I’ll come. Wait for minute. Riri forgive me, I have to go now. Britney need me. Its emergency.

Rihanna: but ed….

Without any word, Edward leave rihanna and she feel so disappointed. In the next morning friends from rihanna know that she had a romantic dinner last night with Edward try to ask her how about it.

Friend: hey rihanna, what about your dinner last night? Is it sweet? Oh im s jealous to to

Rihanna: actually, there is nothing happened

Friend: whats wrong?

Rihanna: hmm….

Friend: why ri? Why?

Rihanna: when I went to dinner last night, Britney called Edward to help her. Then he leave me alone in the restaurant.

Friend: what? He leave you alone? You are kidding me. Ahahhaah…..

Rihanna: (leave while shame and started to cry)

While still upset about it rihanna come to Edward class. And when rihanna meet Edward, she see he and Britney are talked and laugh together.

Rihanna: hey Britney, why you act like that? Why are you hurt my feeling. I hope so much for our dinner last night.

Britney: what do you mean? (her asthma relapse)

Edward: brit, are you okay?

Britney: (cough-cough shortness of breath)

Edward: what wrong rihanna? Why you act like that? This is not Britney fault.

Rihanna: shut up! I really disappointed to you. What are you want now?

Edward: im really disappointed to you too. I don’t think that you can be this cruel to Britney.

Rihanna: then why if im cruel to your best friend? This girl is not know her position. Damm you Britney.

Edward: I don’t know that this is your true self. So whatdo you want now?

2 week pass after that accident. Our relationship is mess. We never talked each other and decide to break a while. Not so long after that I heard that rihanna leave to other town. She even didn’t tell me. I feel so guilty about it. I decided to look after her. When graduation day is over I as soon as possible go to search her new addres that I get from her best friend. It in Jogja. A month after that I found rihanna family hause.

Edward: (knocked the door) hello can I meet riri?

Rihanna’s mom: ( eye with tears ) riri? Hiks

Edward: why? Can you tell me what happened?

Rihanna’s mom: she.. she passed away (teardrops)

Edward: (speechless) how? When?

Rihanna’s mom: she passed away because she had a disease.

Edward: what disease? How can? I never know about it. I, I don’t belive it.

Rihanna’s mom: who are you boy? You look like someone special for her.

Edward: im her ex boyfriend.

Rihanna’s mom: oh Edward? I guess she left something to you. Wait a minute.

Edward: ok thanks aunty.

Rihanna’s mom: there, she leave some video for you.

Edward: a video? (confused)

After get that video Edward come back to his town, and don’t belive all rihanna’s mom said to him. Then he play the video.

Rihanna’s voice: hey Edward? How are you? Maybe when you see this video im not in this world. And I hope you are happy as im happy in here too. Forgive me because im not really make you happy. Forgive me because leaving you, but the truth is it not my decision. Im leaving not for leaving you alone, but to be a enternal with you. Im realized when we a close together this time our relationship is not doing well. Its all my fault because cant understand you feeling and your bestfriend feeling. In other side I don’t want you to know that im sick and your freedom will much less because take care of me. Please keep remember my wish, I wish you to take care about yourself, and find another woman who is much-much better than me, the woman who can understand you. Goodbye ed, I hope you happy in the rest of your life.

Sometimes we don’t care about something, until we lost it and really suffer from the pain, because we never know, are that is important until we lost it.

     In a small town  there was a girl named Maria. Maria was 17 years old. She was school at SMA 1, Maria had a brother who was 19 years old. His name was Robin.
     One day she wanted to buy a clothes for Christmast, so she went to the mall. When she wanted to pay she rembembered that she left her purse on the table.
     Fortunately she remembered that her brother at home, so she called him to bring her purse. After 20 minutes Robin came with angry face, because Maria called Robin when he was sleeping.
     On the way home, suddenly her motorcycle tire was leak. She was so confuse and didn't know what she was going to do.
      Suddenly a handsome man appeared. He asked Maria what wrong with Maria motorcycle and then Maria told what was happen. He smiled and said "Don't worry, I will push your motorcycle to the workshop, so we can fix it." After 30 minutes they arrived at workshop. After they waited about 15 minutes, the motorcycle was ready to go.
     After Maria said thanks to him, the handsome man left her. Maria went home with big smile because she got his phone number.

     Gawai Dayak

     Gawai Dayak is huge thanksgiving festival after the rice harvest symbolizing unity, when all Dayak's people gathering in Gawai, aspiration, astrong desire to create Gawai succesfully, prosperity, symbol of Dayak's wealth to create a big Gawai festival, and recongnition of Dayak identity as part of the Indonesian nation. The word "Gawai" means party while "Dayak" is the name of the ethnic in West Kalimantan.
     The main program of festival is reading the spell traditional culture, the selection of prince and princess Dayak and exhibition of traditional craft. Also there are some interesting event, like "Bagi Tuak" in this event some people trade and testing their "Tuak". "Tuak" is traditional wine create from rice that has been fermentation about 1-6 weeks. Also there are some people selling their wood craft such as necklace, handband & ring.
     Dayak people come from all over West Kalimantan to participate in traditional and modern event.The traditional event is held in the during the day and the modern event held during the night. During the day many of partisipation is the older one because the one who can reading the spell of traditional culture is the older one. And during the night, the younger is doing their modern event.
     For Dayak people that living in the inner region Gawai represents of graditude to "Jubata" (GOD) as for urban people see the festival as a celebration for God blessing them with fortune, but their main goal is same, forcontinued the traditional culture of their ancient sister doing in the past.
     Gawai is happend from May 18-244 and it took place in traditional haouse, "Rumah Betang" or "Rumah Panjang" on Soetoyo Street, Pontianak. Meanwhile in other province it held in their "Rumah Betang" in that region.
